Peninsula Print and Design in Newtownards are upgrading their printed offering to meet the needs of their ever-expanding customer base. “We are delighted to now offer a complete in-house service of design, print and production of a wide range of packaging solutions suitable for any production volumes and most importantly, at cost-effective prices,” said Business Development Manager, Neil Frazer. “In today’s tough trading climate, companies need to innovate in order to grow- adding to our product offering will allow us to explore new markets and to expand our existing customer base,” Neil continued.The company was established in 1986 by  director Gary Withers. “We’ve seen many changes in the print industry over the last 25 years. We’ve always adapted to change by investing in the latest equipment and by recruiting and training the best people”. Peninsula Print and Design now employ 51 members of staff and have also added another production unit to their facilities- making a total of five. “As a company which has not been a packaging specialist, we are working hard to ensure that our premises, our equipment, and the level of training of our staff meet up to the mark” said Managing Director Gary Withers.

Additional 6 Colour Press arriving Mid-November

Peninsula have recently completed their purchase of a KOMORI 628 – Six colour B2 Printing Press. The press will help to facilitate the needs of their growing customer base, including packaging clients. “This press enables us to have greater flexibility in paper & board size, increase the number of colours in one pass as well as reducing run times,” said Colin Cooke, Production Manager. “This latest addition takes our total to 4 presses, running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.”

The press is due to arrive in Mid-November, with work already being scheduled for print once it is fully installed.

Peninsula Print & Design have added another production unit to their facilities- making a total of five. Our latest unit marks the company’s continued investment into packaging print & production, with work commencing on the fabrication of the unit to meet the BRC/IOP Global Standard for Packaging.
